Our Valentine’s Day dinner will be held at El Paso Inn on Olvera Street. Here is the flyer with all of the important details. We’ll See you there!

Mabel Fisher went to be with the Lord today (1/17) around 2pm. We are thankful for her life and the many lives that she influenced.
Services will be held at the church at 11:00am on Saturday January 20, 2007.
There will be reception in the PYC following the service.
In lieu of sending flowers, donations can be made to Pasadena Foursquare Church marked for “Missions”.

Mabel’s Obituary:
Mabel Fisher, a beloved member of Pasadena Foursquare Church and long-time resident of Pasadena, passed away on January 17, 2007. She was 87 years old. Mabel was born in Bloom City, Wisconsin, on October 11, 1918 to Louis and Pansy Fisher. From childhood she felt God’s call on her life and spent much time reading the Bible and praying. She attended Zion Missionary and Ministerial Training Home in Zion, Illinois, and as a youth spent several years as a missionary in China. She had to return to America because of events leading up to World War II. Mabel received her degree from Vanguard University in 1951 and was a highly esteemed teacher in the Pasadena Unified School District for many years. As a long time member of Pasadena Foursquare Church, she was known as a loving friend and devoted intercessory prayer warrior. Services were held at Pasadena Foursquare Church on Saturday, January 20, 2007.

We are hosting a Missions Conference on Saturday February 17th from 9:00am to 2:30pm. The conference will be attended by pastors and others from around our district who are currently sending missions team and/or who are sensing God’s call to get involved. The schedule is as follows:
9:15 – 9:45 – Continental Breakfast and getting to know one another
9:45 – 10:00 – Worship
10:00 – 11:00 – Brita Pinkston will talk on developing teams to go overseas. This will include a dialogue session.
11:00 – 11:15 – Break
11:15 – 12:00 – Pastor Ralph will speak on being a giving and sending church. This will include and dialogue session.
12:00 – 1:00 – Lunch break
1:15 – 2:15 – A dialogue about what churches can do to increase their involvement in missions: both in giving and sending.
Yes, Christmas is over. Last night we finally took down all of the decorations in the sanctuary. Thanks to all who helped! Things are looking pretty sparse on the walls right now, but we do have some things in the works. More on that later. Stepping out into the new year is just like this: taking down that which is behind us, taking the blank walls and creating something beautiful. In the new year, may God continue to create in us and through us many place of beauty.
