Shane has posted on his blog about the VT shootings on Monday. Please continue to pray for him and Jessica to feel the presence of Jesus as they process through the experience and minister God’s grace and mercy.

Shane and Jessica Ross

Shane and Jessica, members of our church, moved last year to Virginia so that Shane could join the faculty. Thankfully, they were out of town at the time. Here is an email that we received from Jessica.

Subject: Prayer request.

Hi ya’ll. Just writing to let you know that we were
out of town this morning when this happened. So,
thankfully we are okay.

Unfortunately the worst part of the shootings happened
in Shane’s building and consequently two of his
colleauges were killed and one
injured. Three students from his department were also
injured.

This is awful. Although we are thankful to have been
spared, this deeply saddens us for the families of all
affected. Please be prayerful. Many families, the
whole town really, is affected.

This is so sad. Please pray as we try to make sense
of this, and try to help out where we can. We plan to
visit students in the hospital and stuff… pray that
we know how to help.
